Capstone Project

My Capstone Engineering Group wanted to create a device that would alert owners of gas stoves of dangerous gas leaks and halt the flow of gas. These lethal chemicals are Carbon Monoxide and Methane, or Natural Gas. Our device has an array of sensors that can determine when a burner is being used and when gas is leaking. Once a leak is detected, an alarm will go off indefinitely, an LED will light up, and the gas valve will close until the user resets the system. This device reacts right away and will ensure that any leaks don't progress further creating a safer household all together.
